September 23th 2010 - Talisman Energy Project YME Field
Melcal Marine is pleased to announce that it has been chosen for the supply of cranes to the Talisman Energy Project YME Field. This workover rig is currently being developed by Rolls Royce Norway, and is a very important niche market rig, developed for recompletion work, which involves servicing and replacing submerged pumps used to stimulate the flow of fluids in production wells.
Melcal Marine's supply consists in the handling balcony crane, the cherry picker crane and the manipulator arm tong crane. The cranes that will be supplied for this project are all tailor made with full DNV class certification and certificated for man riding.
This project is another step that Melcal Marine and Norwegian partners WK Offshore & Marine take in achieving a leading position in complex tailor made niche market projects.
